1st Makeup Review.

So as my first review here on this blog, I thought I would review a product I got from my grandparents when they came back from holiday. These two items came in a gift set, and I think in drug-stores they are sold individually.

The products I am going to be talking about are the L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes So Couture, and The L’Oreal Paris SuperLiner So Couture.

In Boots, The mascara retails for £10.49 and I can’t seem to find the eyeliner anywhere, I don’t know if it is only sold in the set or if it was limited addition.

So let’s start with the mascara. The first thing I would like to mention is the fabulous packaging, it’s sleek in purple and gold, and looks a lot more expensive than it is. The applicator is great, its small with plastic bristles, which I find separate lashes perfectly, and because of its small size, I can also apply it to my bottom lashes without smudging it everywhere. I have been wearing it now for 3 weeks, and I think I have found my new favourite mascara. It’s a really dark black colour, unlike some mascaras I have tired that make my eyelashes look a little grey, it gives you eyelashes volume, which is what it says on the tube, but I find that it gives me almost a false lash effect without having to go through all the effort of gluing fake ones on. It has a bit of an aroma when you open the tube, but nothing that you can notice once you put it on your lashes. I think it’s really long lasting too. Sometimes, I have found when wearing cheaper mascaras, they tend to either smudge as the day goes on or flake off, leaving your rubbish natural lashes behind and ruining a makeup look. But this mascara lasts all day and into the evening. I have been to a full day of work and then out for dinner with my husband, and when I looked in the mirror before I took my makeup off, my eyelashes still looked as good as when I first put it on.
I think this is a great product, and well worth the money. I will defiantly be re purchasing it when I run out of this tube.

And now on to the eyeliner. It again, has a very sleek packaging, in black and gold this time, it’s very slim and will fit easily into your makeup bag when traveling or on the go. The felt tip applicator is brilliant for creating that perfect winged eyeliner. Now I am no pro when it comes to eyeliner, but this product is the easiest I have used to create a good wing. The colour is amazing, and is very opaque. The thing I would like to rave about most is the lasting power of this. Once it has dried, which is seconds, you cannot get it to move. If you run your finger across it, it will not smudge a bit, it’s fantastic! And again I can put it on, wear it for a good 12 hours and it will still look amazing.
Another great thing about this eyeliner is that you can create different looks with it, you can make a small, natural line, or a thick and bold look. I’m not a massive eyeliner person, but I can see myself getting into it with this product.

All in all if you can get your hands on either product I would highly recommend it.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I will see you soon!
xoxo
